This collaboration not only underscores a commitment to public health but also establishes a strong foundation for the significant growth of the domestic medical equipment manufacturing industry.

Vikomed is Vietnam's pioneering X-ray manufacturer to achieve the internationally recognized ISO13485 standard. This milestone has enabled Vikomed to export its Vietnam-made X-ray products to the international market for the first time.

Production Capacity:

In 2010, Vikomed achieved a significant milestone in its growth journey by inaugurating Vietnam's first medical equipment factory at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, spanning an impressive 10,000m². This achievement not only marked a turning point but also laid a robust foundation for enhancing the company's production capabilities in the medical equipment sector.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a fully integrated production process encompassing research, design, manufacturing, and quality control, Vikomed proudly became the first enterprise in Vietnam licensed to produce X-ray machines. The company possesses the capability to manufacture X-ray machines entirely in-house, from components to finished products, ensuring rigorous oversight at every stage to deliver equipment that meets international standards. Not only having advanced production lines, Vikomed is empowered by a skilled team of Vietnamese and Korean engineers.

Its independent production capability has enabled Vikomed to minimize reliance on foreign suppliers while offering more competitive pricing for domestic medical facilities. The Revolutionary Advancements in X-ray Equipment Manufacturing Technology in Vietnam

Before Vikomed's establishment, Vietnam's X-ray equipment market heavily relied on imported products. At the time, most analog X-ray machines utilized toxic chemicals, required lengthy processing times, emitted excessive radiation, and delivered subpar image quality. In response to these challenges, Vikomed Vikomed pioneered in researching and putting into production X-ray equipment with modern technology, including High Frequency Inverter and DR (Digital Radiography) CCD  technology in all Vikomed products including Eva series, Titan series and C-arm KMC950- Plus.

From 2014 to 2018, Vikomed advanced and popularized CCD technology, focusing on the production of DR digital X-ray systems integrated with Flat Panel Detectors (FPD), effectively replacing the outdated Computed Radiography (CR) technology. By applying cutting-edge innovations, Vikomed enhanced its products, establishing its brand as a provider of safe, efficient, and high-quality Vietnamese X-ray solutions.

Between 2018 and 2022, the company refined its production processes and adapted to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic to address evolving market demands. During this time, Vikomed introduced the ACE Mobile 510V synchronized digital X-ray system, which improved durability, streamlined operation times, and reduced radiation exposure by over 40%, ensuring greater patient safety.

Since 2023, Vikomed has consistently pursued advanced scientific research to enhance its technological solutions. Notably, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its X-ray devices has enabled automatic detection of abnormal signs, supporting doctors in making faster and more precise diagnoses.
